On June 11th, 2026, one of the most breathtaking natural wonders on the planet will go purple for lipedema.

Niagara Falls, one of Canada’s most iconic landmarks and one of the seven wonders of the world, will be illuminated in purple at approximately 10:30 PM in honour of Lipedema Awareness Day. For fifteen minutes, those magnificent falls will glow in our colour, carrying our message to everyone who sees them.

This event is particularly special because for the first time, those who cannot attend in person can watch live. A live stream will be available so that no matter where you are in the world, you can be part of this moment. This is our accessible option, because lipedema awareness belongs to everyone.
